Social Security Disability

Social Security Disability Insurance is a federal insurance program managed by the Social Security Administration and is designed to provide income supplements to anyone who is not able to work because of a disability.

Unlike Supplemental Security Income (SSI), SSD does not depend on the income of the disabled individual receiving it. A legitimately disabled person of any income level can receive SSD.

You will need to meet the following qualifications to receive SSD:

  • The condition must be expected to last at least 12 months
  • Be under the age of 65

DGS Benefits will help navigate you through all the government red tape and get you the money you need to live while being unable to work.

You can do some research on your own before giving us a call by visiting the official Social Security Disability Administration website at

* DGS Benefits Service fees are on a case-by-case basis.

Tom Murphy has done a great job of taking care of Perfect Finishes’ Insurance needs and I would recommend him. Anyone who has dealt with Insurance claims and billing problems knows how frustrating and time consuming it can be. Tom makes my job easier.
